Where enabled, MOTDesk can send a day-before reminder and a two-hour reminder before the scheduled MOT appointment, using the customer name formatting that skips honorific titles.

Customers can receive confirmation when a booking is made and when they reschedule to a new time, including a secure link to manage their appointment.

SMS pricing

Email reminders are included. SMS texts are 9p each on your monthly Stripe invoice — there is no free SMS allowance. You can turn SMS billing off in Billing if you prefer email-only reminders.

Questions garages ask

Appointment reminders can be scheduled automatically when SMS is enabled and consented. Next-MOT retention messaging is supported as part of the reminder workflow where configured.
